Inspiring Youth to Choose a Sport
The Olympic games are an incredibly special time when we as members of the global community are reminded of the importance of friendly competition, national pride, and the bringing together of all people to build lasting relationships through sport. In conjunction with the 2012 Olympic Games, the International Inspiration program was launched to teach children traditional sports and leadership skills. Sports as a means to empower? We believe. Check out CEI’s Pinterest for a way to join in on the fun and play your own game of “Owel”, a traditional Ugandan playtime activity. It sounds fun because it is! We would love to see your photos of you (or your kids) trying this game so send them in and we will feature them on the blog.

International Inspiration is developing and delivering high-quality teaching materials to enable more teachers to deliver an exciting and inclusive PE curriculum. As in other International Inspiration countries, the program is also training Young Leaders to coordinate activities, organize events and support national initiatives within their schools and local communities.]
